BEAMs BEliefs About Mania: An Online Workbook
(BEAMs) BEliefs About Mania: An Online Workbook (qualtrics.com)
The aim of this study is to investigate whether an intervention targeting positive beliefs about mania (bipolar disorder) is helpful.
Ethics number: 88273
Why have I been asked to participate?
You are invited to participate if you are aged 18 years or over and have been formally diagnosed with bipolar disorder by a mental health professional.
We are looking for people who have an ambivalent relationship with mania. That is, people who feel that mania, despite causing problems, can be fun and beneficial.
There may be times where they may be unsure if they would want to stop becoming manic.
What will happen to me if I take part?
The study will involve completing anonymous online questionnaires and 6 sessions of online intervention (around 30 minutes each).
